Oliver the Anteater is an avid Outdoorsman.
He grew up in Brazil where he was impressed by the beauty of the tropical rainforests and depressed by the deforestation that was destroying them.
As a kid, Oliver would go on long hikes and camping trips with his dad. When Oliver was 12, he and his family moved to the United States.
Oliver has continued to enjoy his passions of nature with his employment in the United States National Parks Service, as a park ranger.
Before starting employment with the National Park Service, Oliver worked for a insect exterminator company to pay his way through college.
He was really good at his job so his boss kept giving him pay raises, but he really didnt like the work.
Once he graduated, he quit killing bugs and looked for a job that he liked better.
He attended college at UCI and got a major in Environmental Science with a minor in Computer Science.
Oliver has a life ambition to visit 419 National Parks. Of the ones he's already been to, Yellowstone and Bryce Canyon were his favorite two.
His least favorite of the parks was Zion. While climbing Angels Landing in Zion, he slipped and fell twenty feet to the ground. He was air lifted to a nearby hospital with 14 broken bones.
Despite his near brush with death, Oliver still has 260 parks to visit. At every park he visits, Oliver goes to the gift shop and buys a button for his backpack.
